100% Design
17-20th Sept 2013
Earls Court London
100% Design was my favorite show of all the Design shows I visited this September!
Show Features
The Tunnel
The entrance to the show was through a 60metre dark tunnel lit by a ceiling light installation
Farm Kitchen
"With urban environments becoming increasingly cramped, designers are exploring new and innovative ways to best utilise the limited space available – micro-agriculture is at the forefront of this year’s Kitchens & Bathrooms hub. The Farm Kitchen is the ideal environment to propagate and generate farm produce otherwise impossible to grow in limited city spaces." - words from 100% Design website
This section is dedicated to my cousin Maxine who has so many plants in her kitchen here are some funky ideas of how to display/store them.
Worldscape
"Worldscape is a vast dining landscape seating 80 people around the geometry of our planet.
It uses digital fabrication to create interlinking flatpack modules of the world, each geographic tile of 30 x 30 terrestrial degrees becoming highly-sculpted 4 x 4’ tables –accompanied by their own sea-trench benches, towering mountains, and city lights.
As a social instrument, it frames and prompts new and unprecedented dining relationships, encouraging intimacy and interaction between its occupants."- Words from 100% Design website
Funky colored dividing wall which unfortunately I can not find a name for or any information on
3D Home Factory
A large stand showcasing 3d printing by imaker was an impressive feature of the show!
Best Show Giveaway
100% Design 2013 best show giveaway is from Officeline by Monica Forster!
The office chair made specifically for women by a woman!
The gift is too cute....a pouch containing nail polishes in the colours of the chair fabrics
Not only did I get this fabulous gift the gentleman on the stand was extremely charming and spent ages introducing the product and designer to me really wonderful customer service!
I love this product, its comfortable and really enhanced my seated posture.
I have problems with my neck and back due to bad posture so this is a product I am really interested in.
I would love one for Christmas!
Interesting marketing attention grabbers
Three leather companies chose to display their product in an interesting way which caught my eye!
Favorite Show Products!
The prize of my favorite product of the show goes to.........London Cube Company
I love with this product it is so enchanting!
These cubes conjure up images of a magical nursery, very Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins!
With the ability to personalize these beautiful cubes what a delightful gift especially for a new baby or christening they would make!
