Top 5 Favorite  products from the show

There were five products that really caught my eye but my ultimate favorite has to be.......
Woodstar by Dave Gourlay.
Such an amazing atmospheric lamp that would look so fantastic in a tropical hotel or restaurant or ideally on the wall of my second home on Sandy Lane Barbados (in my dream world that is)

At number 2 is .......the company Solid ID

"Solid ID thrives on collaborations with artists, designers and crafts people to find imaginative and characterful one-off products with a real tale to tell - from vintage items reclaimed the re-imagined to contemporary pieces handmade and hand chosen" - words taken from Solid ID flyer

I love the fact that everything is from vintage materials so there will never be two pieces exactly the same

Solid ID Stool
I am gutted my photos don't show the true beauty of this stool, in person it is so charming.  I love the resin top that highlights the tree rings which unfortunately you cant really see here but take my word for it it is great!!

At number 3........FANtasized

This products story is what got my interest

"Cebu City, Philippines, has a large waste problem.  Everyday, tons of unsorted waste ends up in landfills.  The city wants to get rid of the landfills but currently has no alternative.  Some districts try to reduce waste by focusing on composting waste.  Others make products from waste.
Councilor Hon.Nida Cabrera challenged product designer Sep Verboom to innovate the recycle programs in Barangay Luz by creating a new recycled product out of local waste materials."

"FANtasized lampshades are made out of recycled electric fans "guards", waste strips, carefully crafted mahogany stands and a lot of creativity!"

"The project had a twofold objective: creating environmental awareness and supporting the residents in their livelihood" - All words on FANtasized quoted from Fantasized leaflet

At number 4..........Tony Miles Designs

Famous for having his Paperclip light featured in the Big Brother house 2013 Tony Miles is the man that can!

"Tony Miles Designs makes industrial lighting and furniture with handmade light bulbs.  The pieces blend the strength of industrial products with basic functionality to create bold objects of interest.  The bespoke fittings are designed from steel tubing, boxes and brass fixtures and are fitted with dimmers to maximize the effect of the carbon filament light bulbs.  Tony Miles Design can create any shape and has used this style to transform bars, restaurants and shops in and around London.  Any products can be made including desk and floor lights, jar lights and ceiling and wall lights." - words quoted from Tony Miles Designs flyer

At number 5......Willowlamp

Willowlamp - Protea

"willowlamp is an innovative, award-winning South African lighting company whose products are anchored in one simple yet very ingenious idea: a patented method of attaching ball-chain to laser-cut steel frames. A tiny notch in the metal frame is the key to creating a fastener-free chain curtain system, which unleashes endless design possibilities. These range from very simple sleek lampshades that are relatively affordable to massive, highly complex sculptural art forms and custom chandeliers that are appropriate for huge projects at even the most extreme highend of the market." - Words quoted from Willowlamp website

Willowlamp - Droplet

Other Interesting products from the show

Lynne Maclachlan
"Phase is an award winning, high impact, high tech jewellery collection.  Delicate sculptural structures create shimmering Moire patterns as the wearer moves around.  The pieces are 3D printed in nylon, hand dyed and assembled in the UK, with accents of Swarovski crystals." - words quoted from Lynne Maclachlan flyer.
